You can skip tutorials
When an NPC probes you about knowing something, just tell them you do — there, tutorial skipped! You can even catch Pokemon before being taught how. Your mom will slyly put Poke Balls in your bag when she gives you cash — and if you catch a Pokemon before you get to the tutorial, Leon will just skip teaching you altogether.
