Football Manager 2020 will be released physically using entirely eco-friendly packaging, with all of it recyclable in some way – a first for the industry according to developer Sports Interactive.
Announced by studio director Miles Jacobson in a YouTube video about climate change, the packaging consists of recyclable shrinkwrap, recycled cardboard packaging and a recycled paper manual. It’s all printed with vegetable-based ink – “so if you do want to eat the packaging,” explains Jacobson, “it’s vegan.”
