Today developer Ys Net revealed what will be included in the upcoming trial version of Shenmue 3 available to Kickstarter backers on PC.
Set to be ready sometime in the second half of September, the demo will be a stand-alone act set in Bailu Village, the first area of Shenmue 3. The Kickstarter update that made the announcement explained that there will be a central objective to complete with “lots of activities to experience” after you’re done with it.
Critically, the demo is currently estimated to only be playable for one hour, though the announcement seems to indicate that will likely be enough time for the main objective and extras. Since this is a standalone act, save files will not transfer over to the final game.
