UPDATE: Despite an image circulating on forums, Konami has now confirmed to IGN that it did not issue any kind of patch or update that deactivates Silent Hills P.T. on PS4 consoles where it was already installed.
A Konami representative provided the following statement to IGN:
“After our investigation we can confirm that there have been no Konami or PlayStation Network(PSN) update that would have affected or prevent access to the game.”
As it stands, P.T. can still no longer be downloaded from the PlayStation Store, but will remain functional if you already had it installed prior to its 2015 removal.
