Croteam and Devolver Digital have announced Serious Sam 4: Project Badass, currently only listed for release on Steam.

Revealed at the Reboot Develop conference this morning, there’s not much to see beyond a teaser trailer, below:

We can infer a little, however. The footage looks to come from an in-game engine (see the slight graphical glitch on the flowers on the left side of the screen at 0:17), and the focus on travelling across the landscape could suggest an open world approach.

The logo also shows a silhouetted Sam surrounded by 8 other figures, which might suggest multiple playable characters, or a multiplayer element.

Croteam says we won’t hear more about the game until E3 2018.
