While Halo Infinite’s campaign may be a story about Master Chief saving the galaxy from a threat greater than any it has ever known, its multiplayer is now home to Meowster Chief as a Spartan cat ear helmet attachment is now available for purchase in the game’s store.
Halo Infinite players who jump into the in-game store will be greeted by the “Cat Lovers” bundle for 1,000 Credits ($8.99 USD) that includes the Faded Blush Epic Armor Coating, the Tabby Rare Charm, the Kat Epic Charm, and the pièce de résistance – the Purrfect Audio Epic Helmet Attachment.
This attachment adds adorable cat ears on the top of any helmet under the Mark VII Armor Core and the internet has, rightfully so, quickly fallen in love with it.
@its_kiingah even thinks it is “the best thing Halo made.”
These cat ears are only available until Halo Infinite’s store refresh on Tuesday, December 28 at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm GMT, so cat fans around the world will have to act fast if they want to secure this very serious piece of gear. There is a good chance it will return in the future, but are you willing to wait that long to get one step closer to full Meowjolnir armor?
If you need any more convincing, @neokitsch_ shows us that you can pair these cat ears with the Vermillion Fire Legendary Armor Coating for 2,000 Credits ($17.99) to become a cat version of Iron Man, and who wouldn’t want that?
While you will obviously look amazing with these ears, remember they do not make you extra sneaky like a true cat. So, always watch your back when in battle or you’ll end up wasting one of your nine lives thanks to the handy work of those like @flairwing.
If that isn’t enough cosmetic goodness for you, Halo Infinite’s WInter Contingency event is now underway and is offering a chance for Spartan to earn holiday-themed rewards just in time for the most wonderful time of the year.
