Sony has confirmed that Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is scheduled for Holiday 2020, and we’ve seen our first look at gameplay footage.
Shown at September’s PS5 event, the gameplay demo revealed that the story will revolve around a conflict between the Roxxon faction and the Undeground, a group led by supervillian The Tinkerer. Miles gets into a tussle on the Braithwaite Bridge with the two groups, and the results are massively destructive. We even get a bit of a THAT moment from Spider-Man 2 as he holds two segments of bridge together with webbing.

Sony announced Spider-Man: Miles Morales as a holiday 2020 game back at the June PS5 reveal showcase. Since then, there was some confusion over whether it would be an expansion or standalone game, but Insomniac explained how it’s not quite a sequel, but will be a standalone game
We’ve also learned more about Miles Morales’ plot, that the game will feature a 4K/60 FPS performance mode, and how Miles will get a “full arc” in the next Spider-Man entry.
