Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward’s upcoming reboot of the 2007 classic, will be released on October 25. But it’s already generating a lot of mixed reactions, including within our own team at IGN. And that seems to be the developer’s intention.
The question is whether or not the new Modern Warfare will have anything to say, and if it does if it’ll be able to do so in a way that is respectful to the countless men and women who have served or are serving in the armed forces. For now, you can see some new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare screenshots, and those who got to see it at E3 have pieces of two missions from the campaign to go off of, and different people on the IGN team had wildly different reactions to the footage. We’ll be eager to hear your reactions too, once Activision releases mission gameplay footage. You can find our thoughts in the video above.
